Enfield made 177-8 against Accrington at Thorneyholme Road after being 103-6 with 10 overs left. The home side got rid of opener Russell Edmonds and professional Martin Van Jaarsveld cheaply but Liam Jackson ground out 27. Steve Juliff bowled a marathon spell, taking 3-47 and Damain Clarke took 4-51, but star of the show was Enfield's Mas Ahmed facing an Accrington side containing his son Mohsin for the first time hit a superb 65, including five sixes and three fours. Man on the receiving end was professional Andre Seymore who conceded 40 runs in 4 overs at the end of the innings. Rain prevented Accrington from replying.
