Tama Canning put in a match winning performance against Enfield to take Accrington off the bottom of the table. Canning hit 65, including four fours and a six from 100 balls, and he then took 5-55 as Enfield made 154-9 in reply to Accrington's 178-9. Steve Birtwistle (31) and Nasser Hussain (25) also made useful runs with Martin Van Jaarsveld taking 4-40 and Liam Jackson 3-55 in Accrington's innings. Damien Hartley top scored with 43 and Neil Holmes hit 28 in Enfield's reply with Van Jaarsveld falling for just 8 to register a rare second failure of the weekend.
