Lancs put Saturday's frustration behind them and scored an emphatic
66 run win over Accrington at Thorneyholme Road. The visitors made 146
- 6 with openers Andy Clague (27) and Phil Bolton (37) putting on 67.
Tama Canning took 5 - 71 in 21 overs for Accrington who were soon in
deep trouble in reply. Brad Young had 4 of the first 5 wickets to fall,
including two in two balls, as the home side dipped to 20 - 5. Mohsin
Ahmed played some delightful cover drives in his 29 before being run
out and Wayne Roberts made 19 but East Lancs professional Brad Young
had the last word, taking 7 - 28 as the home side were dismissed for
80.
