Accrington overtook Bacup in the table after scraping home by 1 wicket in a low scoring encounter at Lanehead. After bowling out Bacup for 78, Accrington were themselves on the brink of defeat at 49 - 8 until a ninth wicket stand of 28 between the recalled Zahir Afzal (18) and former skipper Steve Juliff (13 not out) turned the tide. Professional Adam Dale had a good game, hitting 36 and claiming 4 - 26 in 22 overs for Bacup.
