Accrington v Bacup
An unbeaten 66 by professional Mark Bailey helped Accrington to a 4 wicket win over Bacup at Thorneyholme Road in a rain affected match. The visitors made 176-7 from their 50 overs with solid contributions from Terry Lord (35 not out), Andrew Spencer (34), John Chapman (29) and opener Mark Taylor (20) after the early loss of professional Brad White for 5. Tariq Hussain took 2-39, Kaz Shazad 2-63 and Bailey 1-36 from 22 overs for the home side. Rain reduced Accrington's target to 155 but Bailey soon took command, hitting eight fours and a six in 91 ball unbeaten 66. The New Zealander had fine support from Mus Ahmed (17), Steve Birtwistle (16, before falling to David Ormerod) and Hussain (14 not out) with White taking 3-50 for Bacup.
