Half centuries from Chris Bleazard (64), professional Shaun Flegler (61) and opener Stan Heaton (54) saw Lowerhouse pile up 228-5 to set up a 122 run win over Accrington at Liverpool Road. Professional Colin Miller took 2-75 from 19 overs as Accrington conceded over 200 for the third successive game. Skipper Mark Aspin removed opener Nick Hope (30) at 69 and Miller trapped Heaton in front at 121. Flegler was run out at 206 with Miller also accounting for Bleazard at 220. Jez Hope then took 5-46, sending back Russell Edmonds (2) at 5, Aspin (12), Miller (42), Martin Whittle (15) and last man Azad Akram (0) to wrap up the innings at 106. Flegler (4-43) also chipped in with the scalps of Arif Hussain (13), Paul Barratt (0), Justin Greenwood (0) and Scott Greaves (3) with Tofeeq Khan (3) being run out to leave Wayne Roberts unbeaten on 1.
