Accrington's second defeat of the weekend was the club's ninth in succession with Todmorden leaving Thorneyholme Road with a 52 run win. Todmorden opener Mark Clayton top scored with 62 in Todmorden's 198-5. Clayton hit six fours in his first Lancashire League half century. He put on 46 with Stuart Priestley (23). One run later wicketkeeper David Whitehead fell to Accrington professional Sherwin Campbell (2-63) without scoring. Andy Barker (5) added 33 with Clayton before also falling to Campbell. Todmorden professional Scott Williams (31) added 51 with Clayton before being trapped in front by recalled veteran Ian Birtwistle. Three runs later Birtwistle (2-29) had Clayton stumped by Mick Wilson. Skipper Brian Heywood (23 not out) and Stuart Parker (35 not out) added an unbroken 64 for the 6th wicket to take the visitors to 198-5. Williams removed openers Arif Hussain (3) and Mark Stevenson (6), Martin Whittle and Russ Edmonds without scoring and Campbell (35) in taking a match winning 5-55 from 20 overs. Tofeeq Khan also made 20, Wilson 18, Paul Barratt 15 and Mark Aspin 11 with Duncan Warburton making 9 on his last Lancashire League appearance in Accrington's 146 all out.
