Shane Warne's time at Accrington ended quietly with the leg spinner taking 1-72 as his side went down to a 2 run defeat at home to Burnley. Warne ended as he began with the wicket of Duncan Spencer, but not before the Burnley man had had hit his second half century of the season off the Accrington attack. Spencer made 57 with Terry Little (51) and Jonathan Harvey (51 not out) also helping themselves to half centuries in Burnley's 193-4. Billy Rawstron replied with a fine knock of 72 with Warne backing the wicketkeeper up with 27. Neil Barnes (16), Martin Whittle (15) Paul Barratt (14), Paul Seedle (13) and skipper Andy Barker (10) all reached double figures but the Burnley bowlers, led by professional Chris Mack who took 5-76 from 20 overs, restricted Accrington to 191-8.
