Shane Warne took 5 wickets for the second day running but Accrington were well beaten by Bacup at Lanehead. The home side made 181-9 thanks to solid knocks by Peter Thompson (45), Kenny Gale (36), Roger Harper (26), Nick Cronshaw (21) and Richard Swift (21). Warne took 5-69 with skipper Billy Rawstron picking up 4 victims behind the sticks. Richard Swift then ripped into the Accrington batting line up, taking a career best 6-44 to bowl the visitors out for 98. Harper also took 3-28 with Paul Barratt top scoring with 26 and Neil Holmes hitting 16 for Accrington. Scorecard
