Andy Barker's first century helped Accrington to a first home win of the decade with a 9 wicket win over Ramsbottom. The opener hit a dozen fours and a six in making a career best unbeaten 101 from 108 balls. After Nick Riley had sent back Nick Marsh (5) at 20, barker and Billy Rawstron put together an unbroken match winning stand of 144 to take Accrington to victory after 41 overs. Rawstron made an unbeaten 43 with five fours. Ramsbottom had earlier made 163-5 from their 46 overs with Steve Ashworth making an unbeaten 70. Ashworth put on 68 for the 2nd wicket with opener Ian Bell after John Seedle had sent back Paul Compston (1) at 7. Ian Birtwistle broke the 2nd wicket stand by bowling Bell for 40. Bell passed 4,000 Lancashire League runs during his innings. Birtwistle also dismissed Mark Price (15) and skipper Jack Simpson (7) with professional Robert Haynes having Steve Dearden caught by Steve Juliff for 1. Brian Taylor (16 not out) helped Ashworth add an unbroken 36 for the 6th wicket as the visitors closed on 163-5. Scorecard
