Lowerhouse turned the tables on Accrington beating the visitors by 2 wickets at Liverpool Road. Billy Rawstron top scored with an unbeaten 59 on Accrington's 177-7. Jez Hope soon removed Andy Barker (2) at 2 with David Whalley dismissing the other opener Neil Barnes for 7 with the score on 42. Professional Rod Tucker fell to his opposite number Manzoor Elahi for 29 4 runs later. Stand-in skipper Graham Beech was next to go at 76 for 14 to give Whalley his second wicket. Nick Marsh, demoted down the order to number six, added 66 with Rawstron before being bowled by Elahi for 24. Pankaj Tripathi dismissed Trevor Hatch (11) and Elahi (3-55) sent back Mark Demaine (6) leaving Rawstron unbeaten on 59 from 81 balls, including three fours when Accrington's innings closed on 177-7. An unbeaten 98 by Elahi saw Lowerhouse to victory in the 41st over. After the loss of Stan Heaton (1), Tripathi (12) and Phil Astin (16), Elahi added 35 with Chris Bleazard (8), but only Brian Holmes (12) made double figures of the other batsmen with Elahi dominating the innings, hitting six fours and four sixes in his 102 ball innings. Hatch took 2-38 and Tucker 2-78 from 20-4 overs for Accrington, who stayed in eighth place. Scorecard
