Malcolm Taylor (12) had to retire hurt after taking a blow in the face off the West Indian paceman. Skipper Alan Worsick became Ian Austin’s first victim at 85 but then Paul Barratt joined his professional to hit an entertaining unbeaten 22. Lloyd’s 83 ball innings was also ended by Austin with the score on 110 in the 32nd over. Barratt then took 7 off the last two balls of Alleyne’s last over and Neil Barnes fell to Austin (3-33) in the final over after making 5.
