Accrington got back to winning ways after successive defeats with a 38 run win at Church.  Accrington again lost early wickets with Church professional Brendon McArdle picking up Andy Stevenson (0) and Andy Gardener (4). Opener Billy Rawstron made 19 before falling to Jack Houldsworth at 34 in the 12th over. After dropping down the batting order to number five, professional David Lloyd made his highest ever Lancashire League score, an unbeaten 65 from 84 balls with seven fours and two sixes, to lead his side to 170-5. Neil Jones also made a career best 65 from 102 balls, adding 118 for the 4th wicket with his professional. Lloyd then bowled through the innings taking 4-69 from 16 overs with skipper Alan Worsick picking up 5-13 as Church subsided from 87-0 to 132 all out. Openers skipper Steve Metcalf (51) and Billy Wilkinson (44) were parted in the 22nd over when Ian Birtwistle made the breakthrough. Lloyd and Worsick did the rest with no other player making double figures for the home side. Scorecard
