Accrington lost to eventual winners Burnley by 7 wickets at Thorneyholme Road after being tied down by some tight bowling by the visiting attack. David Lloyd top scored with 66, including five boundaries, made out of 103 scored whilst he was at the wicket. A late unbeaten 28 by Neil Jones lifted Accrington to 125-7 but an unbeaten 68 by professional Mudasser Nazar and 41 by Peter Brown saw Burnley to an easy 7 wicket win. Scorecard
