The most significant fact about Accrington's No result at Haslingden was Dave Parsons fine bowling performance of 5-44 which included the wicket of the opposition professional for the tenth time this season.
John Dyson did make 42 with fellow opener Bryan Knowles making 50 in a stand of 71 in Haslingden's 114-9. Accrington professional Alan Worsick picked up 3-37 as the home side collapsed from 110-2.
Graham Beech was unbeaten on 24, having put on 20 with John Swanney (15) when rain stopped play with Accrington on 50-2 after 16 overs.
The visitors needed 18 from 4 overs to achieve victory when the match was abandoned.
