Burnley slow left armer Trevor Jones took 5-25 to dismiss Accrington for 102 at Turf Moor.
Alan Richardson top scored for the second match running with 27, John Swanney made 26 but no-one else could manage double figures as the last five wickets fell on 102.
Jones earned a collection of £22 for his fine spell.
Dave Parsons achieved 50 wickets in a season for the first time when he dismissed Barry Bromley for 14 and then he picked up Mudasser Nazar to bag his twelfth professional of the season as Burnley struggled to 39-4.
Mick Swift hit 37 to put the league leaders back in the match and Graham Bushell hit an unbeaten 14 to see Burnley home with more than 3 overs to spare. Scorecard
