Graham Beech top scored with 38 as Accrington struggled to 128-7. The opener managed just two boundaries in an innings lasting 110 minutes. Malcolm Taylor made 35 with Brett Storey taking 3-50 for the visitors. Taylor then snapped up former Accrington and future England opener Graeme Fowler before he had scored to give professional Alan Worsick the first of his seven wickets. Worsick took 7-30 and Dave Parsons 2-16 as Rawtenstall were rolled over for 57. Scorecard
