Ramsbottom had a convincing 6 wicket win over Accrington at Acre Bottom. Openers Mick Everett (39) and skipper Henry Hall (28) put on 43 and John Ashworth made 30 after professional Trevor Laughlin had taken 7-37 to dismiss Accrington for 110. Geoff Hayhurst top scored with 23, John Swanney made 21, professional Alan Worsick 14, Glyn Davies 13 and Graham Beech 11. Maurice Haslam also picked up 2-13 for the home side. Scorecard
