Haslingden chalked up a 7 wicket win over league leaders Accrington at Bentgate. Malcolm Taylor top scored with 25, professional Alan Worsick made 19, wicketkeeper Paul Graham 15 and Tony Gallagher an unbeaten 15 as Accrington were restricted to 105-9 with Graham Beech making just 4. Haslingden's professional Peter Swart turned in a terrific all round match winning performance against his former club taking 5-37 and then hitting an unbeaten 57 as his club romped to victory with more than half of their overs remaining. Bryan Knowles also hit 20 and Tony Holden an unbeaten 16 for the home side. Scorecard
