League leaders Accrington drew with fourth placed Burnley after being bowled out for 85 on a day when rain prevented a clear cut result in all of the days games. New signing Chris Rawstron had a spectacular debut for Burnley taking 5-42 from 13.5 overs. Professional Harold Rhodes also picked up 4-21, including the wickets of professional Bruce Francis (25), Geoff Hayhurst (2), Alan Richardson (4) and Terry Neville (2). Norman Clee picked up Lindon Dewhurst (4) with Rawstron accounting for Bob Ratcliffe (27), Russ Cuddihy (0), Brian Rutter (12), skipper Eddie Robinson (0) and Alan Worsick (0). In reply Burnley had made 34 without loss with skipper Roland Harrison on 18 and Peter Brown on 16 when rain ended the contest. Scorecard
