New team Gujar Khan started off with a win at the expense of Accrington A. Opening batsman Nadeem Ashraf hit his fifth league century and his second against Accrington in successive matches. Veteran campaigner Tom Pendergast took 4-63 and Imran Hussain 4-36 as Gujar Khan recovered from 50-5 with Ashraf hitting an unbeaten 108 and only one other batsman in double figures. Dave Hargreaves top scored with 20 as Accrington made 101 all out after a disastrous opening which saw the first three wickets fall with just one run on the board.

All Stars took just 15 balls to knock off their opponents score and record the first victory of the 2003 season. Nine man Taverners were bowled out for just 30 with paceman Khizer Hayat taking 5-10 and then openers Sohail Khan (15) and Khizer Rayman (14) knocked off the runs in rapid fashion.

League champions Kashmir were beaten by last seasons runners up Attock by 32 runs at Wilsons. Attock made 158-8 with Abrar Shah hitting 32 and Liaquat Khan hitting 27. Slow left armer Khyber Shah took 5-32 with former Accrington batsman Mushtaq Ahmed, who once made an unbeaten 73 against James Anderson, hit 35 as Kashmir were dismissed for 126.
