Accrington host fifth placed Greenmount in the penultimate home game of the season on Sunday.

Records tumbled they last time Greenmount and Accrington met back in June.

The Property Shop Arena is where Greenmount made their Lancashire League debut back in 2021.

The clubs have met three times with Greenmount coming out on top every time.

Last Saturday Greenmount won at Great Harwood whilst Accrington were beaten at Crompton.

Stuart Crabtree makes his first appearance of the season for Accrington after injury along with David Ormerod, George Mills and Riley Armstrong in place of Matt Wilson, Jon Hayhurst, Matt Taylor and Dilshan Fernando. Ric Williams will keep wicket.

Matt Senior replaces Max Birtwistle in the Greenmount team.

The seconds travel to Greenmount in the reverse fixture on Sunday.

The thirds have no game this weekend.

There will be an earlier start time from this weekend with games starting at 12.30pm.

Weekend teams

This season we have a double Looking Back Feature going back to 1993 when Neil Johnson was professional and also to 2013 when the club won the Lancashire League title for the last time with Ashar Zaidi as professional.

In 1993 Accrington moved up two places to eighth after a 9 wicket win over local rivals Church at Thorneyholme Road with professional Neil Johnson taking 6-26.

In 2013 Accrington won the Lancashire League title after beating 2012 champions Lowerhouse by 40 runs at Thorneyholme Road on Sunday August 18th.
