Accrington travel to Towncroft play their final game of the season on Sunday against Middleton who won promotion to Division 1 after beating Colne last Sunday.

Accrington's defeat by Bacup was the club's fourteenth of the season.

Middleton came out on top when the clubs met at the end of June.

Accrington make a couple of changes with Jimmy Hayhurst and Dilshan Fernando replacing Jon Hayhurst and Matt Taylor.

Leighton le Carpentier replaces Pete Foden in the Middleton team.

The seconds host Middleton in the reverse fixture on Sunday.

On Saturday the thirds travel to The Brooks Foundation Ground to face Lowerhouse 4th XI in their penultimate game of the season.

Just a reminder that all games will be starting at 12.30pm this weekend.

This season we have a double Looking Back Feature going back to 1993 when Neil Johnson was professional and also to 2013 when the club won the Lancashire League title for the last time with Ashar Zaidi as professional.

In 1993 Accrington's final match of the season at Acre Bottom on Sunday September 12th ended with the visitors on 89-3 after 25 overs chasing Ramsbottom's 185 all out when the game was abandoned due to rain.

In 2013 the final match of the season at Colne on Sunday September 8th proved to be an historic one with new Lancashire League champions Accrington's professional Ashar Zaidi rounding off a magnificent all round season by breaking Bobby Simpson's 54 year-old club batting record of 1444 runs in an 8 wicket win.
