Bert Ormerod passed away peacefully in hospital at the age of 85 on Wednesday October 19th following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a member of Accrington Cricket Club for over 40 years and following his retirement in 2002 he spent many hours down at the club doing numerous jobs.

His funeral will take place on Wednesday November 2nd at 12.20pm at Accrington Crematorium followed by a celebration of his life at The Peel Park Hotel, Turkey Street, Accrington.
