Simon's Back At Accrington

Simon Hanson has returned to Accrington after four seasons at Ramsbottom.

Subject to league approval Simon returns to the club from Lostock where he spent the second half of last season.

Cricket Chairman Len Dewhurst said: "It is a great pleasure to welcome back Simon to his home club Accrington.

"Simon is a very talented and experienced cricketer who adds yet another dimension to the Accrington CC team for 2022."

Accrington captain Graeme Sneddon is also pleased: "I am delighted to welcome a player of Simon's quality back to Accrington CC.

"On a personal level Simon is one of my oldest and closest friends.

"I was sad to see Simon leave the club but understood his reasons at the time and I am happy that circumstances have led to him returning to his club at a time when we are rebuilding both on and off pitch.

"Having spoke to him at length he is really looking forward to coming back and being part of that alongside myself, Toby and the rest of lads as well as Jake as Professional.

"We all know what Simon offers on the cricket pitch and I’m looking forward to walking out onto the pitch alongside him again in 2022.
