Accrington have signed up and coming South African fast bowling all rounder Bailey Aarons as professional for the 2020 season.

Twenty two year-old Bailey plays for South Western Districts, having hit 224 runs at 24.9 and taken 9 wickets at 43.6 since making his First-class debut in 2017.

He has been recommended to Accrington by some former professionals in South Africa.

Accrington captain Graeme Sneddon said: "We are extremely pleased to announce the signing of Bailey Aarons as our Professional and look forward to welcoming him to Accrington for the 2020 season.

"Although this is his first time over here in England he comes highly recommended and is keen to come over and show his talent and improve his game.

"After the disappointment of last season and the loss of three key players, we feel Bailey will bring youthful positivity and fit in well with our young squad.

"We would like to thank Gary Hunt of Cric-intro for making his signing a smooth process."

Bailey will be Accrington's ninth South African professional.
