Chairman's Christmas Message Firstly, I would like to say what an honour it is to be Chairman of this wonderful club - a club, which becomes a family as soon as one walks through the gates on Thorneyholme Road and into the Property Shop Arena home of Accrington Cricket Club. As the festive season is upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year to all wherever you are. I hope you and your families are staying safe and well during these most testing of times. What a year 2020 has been. Words like furlough, social distancing, bubbles, cashless society, and zoom meetings are now in every day conversation. As a club, we have worked together and again I must thank all sponsors, members, supporters, players and not least volunteers, always looking towards the days when the sun will shine and we all gather again next year. Our people, our family worked tirelessly for Accrington CC and one another. Those quiet, courageous efforts will never make headlines in the media, but they will remain in my thoughts and my heart for the rest of time. A massive cross-section of our community come to Accrington CC to have fun, meet their friends and play cricket. This sense of energy and wonder is inspirational and drives us all to work even harder to develop and progress this wonderful club. Finally, I would like to wish each and every one of you associated with Accrington CC and our Lancashire League family a happy and safe Christmas as we all look towards brighter days in 2021 when the Property Shop Arena echoes with joy and fun.
