Chairman Len's Bonfire Thanks

"Well that’s another Accrington CC bonfire finished, again a great success and thank you all for attending.

"A special thanks to all the ACC volunteers who put in plenty of their own time and dedication to make it a success yet again.

"Special mention must go to Christine and the catering team, Kim and the bar team Carly and Ellie, and Jimmy on the can bar.

"Jimmy also giving up a days work on the Friday to synchronise the preparation.

"With all your help and support this highly popular event was a great success yet again so your help is greatly appreciated.

"I would like to quote a family who had never been to the event before.

"They came up to me specifically to tell what a wonderful night they had, service was impeccable, organisation outstanding and they finished off by saying they will be back next year.

“When you get statements like that it demonstrates that Accrington Cricket Club serve the community in the correct way.

"Roll on next season."

Jimmy Hayhurst added: "We would also like to place on record our thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Hyndburn for using our facilities for this event.

"As most of the funds raised from the event go to local charities without the tireless efforts of the Rotary organisers this event would not be such a success."
