New Captains Announced
Saturday October 26th 2019

The Club is pleased to announce that Graeme Sneddon has been appointed as 1st XI captain.

Graeme takes over from Ross Brown who has decided to step down from the role.

Everyone at the club would like to thcank Ross for his work as captain over the last two seasons.

Jimmy Hayhurst has been appointed as vice-captain.

Rick Williams will continue as 2nd XI captain and 17 year old Raheem Kasser will be the 3rd XI captain.

Club Secretary Mark Taylor said: "Both Graeme and Jimmy have been with the club since they were juniors and have a wealth of Lancashire League experience between them.

"With several senior players leaving to play elsewhere the team that starts next season will be significantly changed from the team that ended this season.

"This opens up a great opportunity for our younger players to press for a place in the 1st XI and it also offers the chance to players outside the club who may be looking for new opportunities.

"Next season is likely to be a year of transition and Graeme and Jimmy are fully focussed on plans for the season ahead and on helping the younger players develop.

"They will both work closely with Rick and Raheem and the Committee over the coming months to put in place a number of changes which will benefit the club and ensure there is a clear pathway for players looking to progress through the senior teams."
