New Pro For Accrington

Accrington Cricket Club are pleased to announce the signing of young Sri Lankan all rounder Janith Liyanage as professional for the 2018 season.

The 22 year old who plays First-class cricket for Ragama Cricket Club is a top order right-hand batsman and bowls right-arm fast-medium.

Accrington Committee Man James Hayhurst said: "Janith comes highly recommended as an up and coming young cricketer.

"We think he will be a good fit with our youthful team and we look forward to welcoming him to the club in April."

Kongala Liyanage Janith Vimukthi will be the club's second Sri Lankan professional following in the footsteps of Roy Silva who helped Accrington win the Lancashire League title in 2008 and 2009.
