Folk Nights Grow

The folk /open mike night meets every fortnight at the club and is hosted by Walter Brown.

On October 1st a group of à dozen artists and interested folk,turned up with a selection of instruments, acoustic, semi-accoustic, and solid guitars, along with whistles and harmonicas, and an evening of varied home made entertainment was enjoyed by all.

Since then numbers have grown to include banjo, spoons and bass players.

There are some very good players and some not so good but they all get to play 3 numbers lnltially and 1 at the end of the evening if time permits

It is pleasing seeing the more experienced players supporting and advising the less experienced players.

There are two more folk nights before Christmas - 26th November and 10th December at 8-30 pm.
