Jimmy Hayhurst

Jimmy Hayhurst is returning to Accrington. The 23 year-old opening bowler, who began his career as a junior at Thorneyholme Road before joining Haslingden in 2005, has applied for a transfer back to his former club.

Hayhurst, the son of former Accrington opening batsman Geoff will join his younger brother Jonathan at Thorneyholme Road after a three year spell at Bentgate during which he took 63 wickets at 23.6. Accrington will hope that his once promising batting, which didn't progress at Haslingden, will improve to strengthen the club's late middle order.
