Accy Legend presents Under 11 Trophy

Former Accrington captain Peter West presented the Under 11A side with the Division 2 championship trophy during their final match with Salesbury at the club tonight. The team won nine out of ten league matches during the season, after having lost the opening match at East Lancs.
After the match Peter presented a Michael Vaughan England shirt that he donated to the team to Ryan Pearson who was the lucky player to have his name drawn out. Peter, who captained Accrington to the Lancashire League title in 1975, then joined the team and their families in a buffet in the clubhouse.
The team was managed by 1st XI player Damian Clarke who used nine players during the season: Jacob Clarke (capt), Harris Ali, Sam Tattersall (wk), Josh Roberts, Sohail, Ryan Pearson, Bryn Hargreaves, Brad Juliff and Dominic Ashton.
