Team player and Club Coach(driver) Alven Burrows was named as the
first winner of the accringtoncc.co.uk website Player of the Year
Award.

Long
serving A Team batsman and club coach Alven Burrows was named as Accrington
Cricket Club's first 'Website Player of the Year' at the club's Annual
Presentation Night. The Club's former England and Lancashire batsman Graham
Lloyd was on hand to present the awards at the club last night.
Youngster
Graeme Sneddon picked up five awards for his performances in the First,
Third and Under 17 sides, including the 'Heavenly Choir Award' voted for
by the club's supporters as Player of the Year and the Edwin Airey Memorial
Trophy as Junior Player of the Year.
All
rounder Jimmy Hayhurst was also in need of a large sideboard after picking
up five awards, including the Chairman's Cup for Player of the Year in
a season that saw him score 252 runs and take 30 wickets.

First
Team Manager Ian Wilson announced the winner of another new prize - the
Champagne Moment Award. This award was shared by two players - Jimmy Hayhurst
for hitting the winning runs and then doing a lap of honour at Bacup and
Matt Wilson for his match winning reverse sweep against his former club
Rawtenstall.
First
Team skipper Matt Wilson retained the Dewhurst Trophy which was presented
in memory of the late Lindon Dewhurst for the fastest half century, which
came off just 53 balls. Matt also won the County Cup for the outstanding
performance in a winning game for his superb 81 at Bacup.
Sagawat
Hussain picked up three Second Team awards - Player of the Year and awards
in both batting and bowling to underline his vast potential as an all
rounder and Stuart Crabtree picked up four awards, including the Thompson
and Partners Trophy for Third Team Player of the Year.
Paul
Barratt was presented with the match ball from his last match for
the club before emigrating to New Zealand. Paul hit his final delivery
for six at Burnley in the last game of the 2003 season.

Adam
Barnes retained the Martin Trophy as the club's leading wicket keeper
for the third year running.
A
Team skipper Zed Hussain picked up the trophy for most runs and Imran
Hussain won the Player of the Year award and the prize for mist wickets.
Tea
Ladies Christine Sneddon and Christine Greenwood were presented
with meal vouchers at Francos for their outstanding work in the
Tea Room
