Junior Cricket Section
New junior cricket sessions for boys and girls ages 7 to 11 have now started at the Club on Fridays from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.
They will be led by Accrington Professional Ocki Erasmus and are ideal for boys and girls of all abilities, whether you are completely new to the sport or whether you have played before.
The focus will be on fun activities and all equipment will be provided.
The cost of each session will be £2 with the first one free.
Bar and other refreshments will be available and parents are welcome to stay and watch.

FAQ
What does my son / daughter need to wear
T-Shirt, trainers and shorts / tracksuit bottoms depending on weather. It is not necessary to wear cricket whites. It is advisable to bring a drink if the weather is hot.
Do they need to bring any equipment
No, all equipment is provided but if they have their own bat they are welcome to bring it
Do they have to play with a hard cricket ball
No, all activities initially will be with a soft ball. However we will introduce the older ones to a hard ball as the weeks progress
Are all the coaches DBS cleared
Yes all the coaches are DBS cleared in accordance with the Club’s Clubmark Award
What time should I arrive
Please arrive 5 mins before the start time of 6.15pm to allow time for registration
Where is the Club
We are at the bottom of Thorneyholme Road, next to Highams Playing Fields, postcode BB5 5BB. There is plenty of parking available at the ground
Do parents need to stay
We ask that parents / guardians of children ages 7 to 9 stay with them for the sessions. Other parents are more than welcome to stay and watch
Will there be any refreshments available
Yes the bar in the clubhouse will be open for hot and cold drinks
