Zed's Diary
Follow our new 3rd Team skipper on his journey onwards and upwards. From humble beginnings with the A Team, Zed has now assumed charge of the 3rds. With the 2nd team captaincy next in his sights Zed continues his journey to the top.

RAMSBOTTOM 167-8 ACCRINGTON 167 ALL OUT
The day began with me finally winning a toss and deciding to bat. We ended up being reduced to 80-5 but Dave Hargreaves in partnership with 'Big Si' managed to pick us up and carried us to a respectable 167 all out.

The top scorer being 'Haggis' with an aggressive 64 followed by 21 from Si and 19 from Waqas. I'm sure Dave sometimes bats with a shovel.......he played some unorthodox but nevertheless mighty effective lob shots.

When it was our turn to bowl we managed to bowl a consistent line and length and quickly had the opposition teetering at at 80-6. At this stage we seemed to have taken the pressure off as we thought the match was as good as won and by the time the next wicket fell the score was already on 137 with only 30 needed off 8 overs.

In the end it came to needing 6 off the last over which they somehow unconvincingly managed to get. We deserved to loose this match as we were on top most of the time and just seemed to take it easy half way through the oppositions innings. In the end it was us who got wedged between Ramsbottom!
