more junior success

Monday April 28th
We are now about to start the 2003 Cricket season, and as such we are pleased to announce that we now have two under 11's teams.

This is thanks to one or two individuals who have volunteered to help run the 'B' Team.

Peter Conroy (Zaks Dad) has volunteered to take the role of team manager. However, Pete openly admits that he has never done this before, and needs the help of others. Thankfully the likes of James Hayhurst, Steve Juliff, John Pilling, Ian Ormerod and others have volunteered to help out.

We have more than the 8 players required for the team, so we intend to have a rota type system, to ensure that everybody gets a fair chance of playing. If you are there on match days, could you help out the kids with their kit and perhaps volunteer to do the scoring. Pete will have the score sheets. Sometimes people need a lift to and from games. Any help is appreciated.

Saf Ali will again be running the 'A' team with the occasional help from Damien Clarke.

Finally, remember every player has to be a member before they can play, so if you have not already payed your membership then please do so. The cost of membership is only £14.00. (Cheques to be made payable to: ACCRINGTON JUNIOR CRICKET CLUB).

Sunday March 2nd
Nets resume next Friday, normal times. Kids to remember their equipment.

People with old kit they don't want please let me know, it makes it easier for some families forking out too much.

Also if people are anticipating buying new kit, then its worth them getting in touch with me or Alven, as we now have a couple of good kit contacts !!

On another note, could whoever picked up a junior cricket bag given to me last week by Simon Hanson please check their bags and bring it to the nets on Friday.
