From the Dressing Room

tall stories

Today we extend a warm welcome to the players, officials and supporters from Colne. Last weekend against Church saw us win a hard fought game and keep ourselves in touch with league leaders Rawtenstall with a twelve point return. The top of the table (see opposite) remains tight with ourselves and the league leaders moving away from the following pack a little, with the valley club going so well at present, it is important that we keep picking up as many points as we can. I am sure they are looking over their shoulders at us and it promises to be a battle royal against Rawtenstall at Bacup Road next weekend, when we will be trying to do the double over them having overcome them here earlier in the season.

So we have maintained our excellent league form and tomorrow of course there is the little matter of the Worsley Cup Semi Final away at Burnley to think about. We already know that this will be a hard fought game as both the recent league encounters proved, for now it is honours even with one win each so far, so let’s hope the lads can pull it off and take us to a cup final. So on behalf of everyone here at Accy I wish all the players the best of luck tomorrow, and in today’s game against Colne. Although they have struggled so far this year they will make us fight for every point.

Keep on giving us your support and enjoy the game.
Ian Wilson
