Jurie Snyman's tenth Lancashire League century took second placed Accrington to within 2 points of leaders Crompton after a 4 wicket win at Great Harwood. Solid knocks from professional Thikshila de Silva (38), Siraj Ahmed (35 not out), Matt Oddie (35), Jack Hancock (25) and Kasir Masood (20) helped Great Harwood post 195-7. Hancock and Oddie put on 67 for the 1st wicket before Hancock was run out. Oddie was bowled by Kian Farnworth at 75 with Caleb Greenhalgh (3) being stumped by Emile Haratbar at 92. Max Cocken (3) became the second run out victim of the innings at 114 with de Silva falling to skipper Jacob Clarke at the same score. Ahmed and Masood added 40 before Masood fell to Clarke. Simon Hanson picked up Nathan Sheridan (9) at 171 with Sheraz Ahmad joining Ahmed in an unbroken 8th wicket stand of 24 to see out the innings. De Silva sent back Graeme Sneddon (0) and Clarke (8) at 2 and 35 but opener Jonny Dack and Snyman took the score to 79 when Dack fell to de Silva for 34. Skipper Stuart Maher trapped Haratbar (6) in front at 93 but Sam Molloy joined his professional to add another 67 for the 5th wicket. William Armer broke the stand by having Molloy caught by Ahmad for 16. Kian Farnworth (6) became de Silva's (4-78) fourth victim at 191. Five to win Snyman on 95. A match winning six off Armer took the South African to an unbeaten 101, including fourteen fours and just one six, his fourth century of the season.
