A dramatic game in the JWL Bitter Group at The iMEP Arena saw leaders Darwen maintain their 100 per cent record with a 1 run win over Accrington. Opener Kamran Anwar top scored with 80, including eight fours and four sixes, in Darwen's 153-4, After Ali Hasham had dismissed professional Rishabh Tiwari (9) at 22, Anwar and Bowden added 101 before Hasham returned to clean bowl Anwar. Bowden (22) fell to Accrington professional Jurie Snyman at 134. Jacob Clarke sent back Sam Painter (11) at 146 with Jack Davies (9 not out) and Mark Friend (3 not out) unbeaten when the innings ended. Snyman hit ten sixes and four fours to almost single-handedly keep Accrington in the game but when he was dismissed for 100 with six runs needed from ten balls, Accrington could only scramble another four runs. Snyman added 110 for the 3rd wicket with Emile Haratbar (26) but no other batter made double figures. Jack Davies took 3-26 for Darwen.
