Accrington went down to a sixth successive league defeat of the season, losing at home to Haslingden by 9 wickets. Tariq Hussain top scored with 18, skipper Brian Holmes made 14 and Alistair Cunliffe and professional Chad Grainger 12 apiece in Accrington's 92 all out from 40.3 overs. Four players were run out - Tofeeq Khan (1), Cunliffe, Russell Edmonds (8) and Wayne Roberts (3) with Barry Knowles taking 3-19 for Haslingden. After losing Mike Ingham (4) to Asad Akram, Patrick Lord (31 not out) and professional Brad McNamara (41 not out) took Haslingden to their reduced target of 91 from 45 overs in the 19th over to complete an early season double over Accrington.
