Scott Greaves took a career best 6-37 to help Accrington move off the bottom of the table after a 7 wicket win at Church. Professional Chad Grainger (3-36) removed skipper Phil Sykes (1), Mark Aspin (15) and Ken Fergusson (10) with Greaves sending back opener Alec Holt (0), professional Matthew Mott (2), Andy Aspin (0), Maboob Hussain (5), Alan Rawcliffe (5) and Nick Westwell (15). Len Dewhurst cleaned up last man Phil Mayers (4) as Church were bowled out for 81, David Schofield unbeaten on 13. Mark Aspin removed opener Tofeeq Khan (2) and skipper Paul Barratt (0) with Mark Stevenson (2) being run out as Accrington struggled to 15-3. Grainger came to the rescue with an unbeaten 50, including six fours, to lead Accrington to a second league win of the season. Martin Whittle also made an unbeaten 17 in an unbroken stand of 67 as Accrington knock off the runs inside 19 overs.
