Bacup professional Roger Harper made up for lost time by taking a league best 9-22 to bowl his team to a 9 wicket win at Accrington. The West Indian picked up the wickets of Mark Stevenson (5), Martin Whittle (2), professional Chad Grainger (4), Steve Birtwistle (13), Russell Edmonds (15), Tofeeq Khan (0), skipper Brian Holmes (0) Azad Akram (4) and Scott Greaves (0) with David Ormerod having Wayne Roberts caught by Mark Taylor for 14 in Accrington's innings of 60 which spanned 40 overs. Akram removed Peter Killelea (25) at 50, but Taylor (25 not out) and Harper (5 not out) saw Bacup home in the 17th over.
