Alan Sieler's run of centuries ended as Accrington were beaten in the last over by East Lancs at Thorneyholme Road. Peter West made 33 and number 11 Brian Rutter an unbeaten 35 as Accrington were dismissed for 114 with professional Neil Hawke taking 4-25. Professional Sieler (4-27) made up for a rare batting failure by taking early wickets, but Russ Cuddihy made a match winning 41 against his former club to earn a slender last gasp 1 wicket win.
